Job Description:

JOB SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Director, Operations ("DO"), this position provides operational support to the DO to help maximize the efficiency of the Arctic Slope Regional Corporation ("ASRC" or "the Company") operations department.--This position also includes general support of ASRC's, and its subsidiary executive management teams as needed.--This includes assisting with the preparation of communications and presentations, and managing special projects as assigned.--Duties and tasks assigned to this position will often be complex, sensitive and confidential in nature.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreate and maintain status report "action item" lists and follow-up on behalf of the DO.--At times, this will include planning, coordinating and leading other operations and Executive Team staff in the completion of special projects as assigned by the DO.--Organize and manage the production of key Operations messages including executive presentations, reports, meetings and special events.--Review reports, documentation and metrics directed to the DO to identify and provide recommended solutions and/or possible alternatives to issues requiring attention; this includes evaluation of investment performance in comparison to business case.--Support the ongoing evaluation of ASRC's compensation and incentive plans with the goal to implement a consistently competitive and effective compensation structure for the Company including work with external consultants and preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee of the ASRC Board of Directors.Provide planning, scheduling and project management for special projects assigned by the DO.--Conduct management analysis and assessment of operational issues assigned by the DO.Review analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine relevant subsidiary's progress toward stated goals and objectives.--Provide support in the preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad corporate goals and growth objectives.Create the structure and processes necessary to manage the organization's current activities and its projected growth through organizational structure analysis, processes analysis and process improvement.--Develop and install procedures and controls to promote effective communication and adequate information flow among the relevant subsidiaries.Assess reporting cycle and performance metrics. Work with DO to identify leading edge indicators to manage operations. Develop consistent and concise reporting.--Find ways to streamline the process to capture efficiencies.Work with stakeholders to set objectives, materials and agenda for major strategic planning sessions.--Understand subsidiary opportunities and their resource requirements.--Evaluate best practices and facilitate sharing across organizations.Provide support to other subsidiaries, departments and executives of ASRC as directed by the DO.Participate in community activities (community partnering, ASRC and subsidiary sponsored events) to enhance public image and prestige of the Corporation and its subsidiaries.Perform other duties as assigned.Adhere to ASRC's values at all times.--Demonstrate professionalism, honesty, integrity and ethical behavior in all activities and communications as a representative of ASRC.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEMinimum of a graduate degree in a business or finance field of study or combination of an undergraduate degree (in business or finance field) plus a professional certification (CPA, CFA etc.).Minimum of three (3) years of experience ideally gained through increasing responsibility within a business and/or finance organization.Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture.Demonstrated ability to resolve complex business and organizational issues.Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial reporting with the ability to easily read and interpret financial reports for the purposes of internal & external reporting by ASRC, investment analysis, etc.An understanding of mergers and acquisitions, including diligence, financial modeling, integration, strategy etc.An understanding of private equity investments.Experience reviewing and drafting annual reports, including MD&A.--Must have demonstrated business acumen with an operational knowledge of financial and business metrics.Ability to work independently, handle tasks quickly and accurately.--Must be able to handle stressful situations with measured calmness, diplomacy and decisiveness.Strong and sound organizational, project management and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience developing executive level presentations, reports and briefings.Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discretely.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
