Overall Purpose Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this position is responsible for the forecasting, accounting and analysis activities of workforce-related expenses. This role will work across Accounting, FP&A and cross-functional P&L owners to optimize workforce financial planning and execution. Essential Functions Enterprise-wide workforce forecasting (monthly) and annual budgeting at the employee level Monthly variance analysis, illuminating relevant insights of workforce-driven variances to forecast, budget and prior year for all constituents (e.g., FP&A and Functional Leaders) Own, maintain and optimize Personnel Model, underlying forecasting process and related reports Drive forecasting accuracy, financial plan performance clarity and P&L owner accountability Partner with system owners and subject-matter experts (e.g., HR, PMO, etc.) to lead advancements in related systems to achieve objectives Identify and influence necessary process improvements that improve workforce forecasting accuracy and systems data integrity Create, maintain and communicate information in compliance with appropriate internal controls in a professional environment Understand deeply the accounting for personnel expenses and related assets/liabilities including but not limited to base salary, payroll taxes, deferred compensation in a non-qualified plan, time-based and performance-based award models (STI, LTIP, one-time payments, etc.), 401(k) deferrals and match, commissions, and self-insured health plans Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data Minimum Qualifications Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's in Accountancy or Finance Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Demonstrated command of workforce expense drivers and modeling/forecasting techniques Advanced financial modeling and relevant systems aptitude Demonstrated ability to implement scalable reporting systems/dashboards and distil analytical insights from large data-sets Understanding of payroll tax requirements and related US GAAP relevant to our current operations (deferred comp, 401k, IBNR, etc.) Effective written and verbal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring effective management of multiple priorities and deliverables Demonstrated professionalism and sensitivity and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality Background and drug screen Preferred Qualifications MBA or CPA Demonstrable proficiency with Payroll/Personnel financial management (planning, analysis and accounting) Experience with Microsoft GP Dynamics accounting software, Workday HCM, Workday Adaptive Planning (formerly Adaptive Insights) and Tableau (or analogous systems) Physical Requirements Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers. Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.
