Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

Middle Market Banking
Services private and public companies with annual sales of $5 million to $2 billion
Specialized expertise across industry sectors
Responsible for managing Commercial Banking relationship managers primarily in the Middle Market segment within a regional market or specialty industry. Duties include:
Collaborating with Market Executives in developing annual business plans and directing the group in execution of these plans; actively participating in the completion of major transactions; close coordination with the portfolio management team on credit review and loan workout functions to ensure appropriate risk management; managing commercial middle market relationship managers who advise clients and prospects on credit based loan products, traditional banking services such as deposits, cash management and/or custodial services. Partners with RM Leaders in other commercial banking segments across the regional market or specialty industry to deliver a one Commercial Banking experience to our clients. -May direct the business of originating credit related products, treasury management products, and investment banking/capital markets products. Works in close collaboration and engagement with the Portfolio Management team while still maintaining ownership of the risk.
Coordinates with the service teams to deliver exceptional customer service. Exercises the usual authority of a manager in identifying and acquiring key talent, training, motivating and developing team members.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing employees, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications
8+ years of commercial banking relationship management experience
3+ years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications
Commercial credit experience involving commercial or specialty group relationship portfolio credit
Extensive knowledge and understanding of credit policy, compliance, and underwriting requirements
Knowledge and understanding of commercial or specialty group banking products, and the credit practices/operating risks associated with them
Ability to motivate others to greater performance
Ability to successfully exceed goals with a results focus
Strong collaboration and partnering skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
3+ years of management experience

Job Expectations
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
