Job Description:
Caliber is seeking a full-time Director of Project Finance to
join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. The primary function of the
Director of Project Finance is to own all aspects of asset &
corporate finance. Additionally, this person will support the
company in the areas of Asset Due Diligence & Asset
Management.Position works out of the Scottsdale office as it
requires significant interaction with other team members but can be
performed remotely.Primary Responsibilities
- Source financing alternatives and establish new lending
relationships for the company.
- Coordinate and manage the financing/refinancing of Company
owned or controlled assets, funds, and corporate needs (EX: new
corporate office building)
- Develop and mentor a team within project finance
- Formulate financing models, project-finance communications,
asset descriptions, and related work product required to
successfully approach financing institutions such as banks,
insurance companies, agencies, REITs, private equity funds,
mortgage bankers & CMBS debt providers to obtain financing for
Company owned or controlled assets or purchases.
- Represent the Company to these external parties and provide
detailed information on both the Company, its subsidiaries and
affiliates, and the project(s) being financed to the financing
providers.
- Formulate a financing strategy and present that strategy to the
Company's executives. The strategy will include multiple quotes or
options, as appropriate, to ensure the market has been thoroughly
reviewed for viable options.
- Provide internal support services customary to commercial
mortgage transaction coordination and will liaison with Company
resources to obtain documentation and other requests for the
financing providers. Continue these services until the financing
has closed escrow.
- Develop and manage a due diligence checklist for all potential
Financings.Qualifications (required Unless Otherwise Stated)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work and education. Finance
Degree Preferred.
- Commercial real estate and project finance experience
required.
- 5-10 years of Real Estate, bank relationship management and/or
lending experience.
- Business Development experience
preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- High level of integrity, detail, self-motivation and hand-on
approach to problem solving is a must
- Demonstrated ability to be able to adapt and execute on
activities and deliverables in an unstructured environment.
- Experience effectively working in cross-functional teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills

- Pays attention to detail, has ability to multi-task and has
adept problem-solving skills Physical DemandsThis job operates in a
professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard
office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing
cabinets. The employee frequently communicates with internal team
members, investors and vendors. Must be able to remain in a
stationary position 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer
and other office productivity machinery such as a copy machine and
printer. Occasionally moves items up to 50 lbs. for various
