Summary
Upon joining the Clearway Energy, the Compliance Tax Analyst will have the opportunity to help shape the evolving compliance function of the tax department. Reporting to the Compliance Tax Manager, the Tax Analyst will have the opportunity develop professionally while helping the company grow and develop sound federal and state income tax compliance processes.

Principal Responsibilities & Key Results

• 
  
• Gather and organize information for federal and state tax return preparation and support return preparation process of third-party providers within tight internal deadlines.
  
• Assist with preparation of state and federal tax returns for certain Clearway entities that will be prepared internally by Clearway.
  
• Calculation of state allocation and apportionment for numerous tiered partnerships and corporations by applying current state regulations for quarterly/annual provision reporting and annual tax return filings.
  
• Support state and federal tax audits, including assisting with and responding to notices and gathering supporting documentation.
  
• Calculation and tracking of federal and state tax payments, including estimates, extensions, and notices/invoices received.
  
• Simplify and improve tax work processes within the tax department / organization to streamline the ability obtain and communicate data timely and effectively.
  
• Assist with additional tax related projects as needed.

    Qualifications
    
    • 
      
    • 5+ years of federal, state and local tax compliance experience
      
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major required
      
    • Passed all 4 sections of the CPA Exam or is working towards meeting the requirements to obtain their CPA license
