Think of it as the audio portion of the holodeck. We're developing the core computational audio software, creative tools and service that builds and deploys the Spatial simulations. Deployments can scale from single intelligent speakers & sensors to theme park scale environments. Join us today, as we rebuild immersive audio for tomorrow. Spatial is looking for a Head of Finance to own all aspects of Finance operations. You will be responsible for providing data-driven insights to inform strategic, financial and operational decision-making across the company.This role will report to the CEO. To be successful in this role, you must be experienced in managing international accounting operations in a high-growth startup.You have a deep understanding of SAAS financial metrics and experience implementing financial systems to support rapid scaling. What You'll Do:
    • Deliver world-class business partnership to multiple executives and their teams
    • Assist with ad hoc reporting and analysis to support business decision making by owning the FP&A function
    • Be a strategic and financial advisor to the executive team and business owners across the company with a specific focus on unit economics as well as helping to define key business success metrics
    • Build analytical frameworks, forecasts, and dashboards, along with tools, processes, and communication touch-points, to support transparency and smart and quick decision-making across and within the team
    • Build scalable processes and systems to enhance financial visibility, control, and planning effectiveness that support growth
    • Establish financial comps / benchmarks to peers to establish high standards of performance and create a climate of mutual accountability that delivers expected business results
    • Build and manage our investor facing financial model that is used as a basis for our long-term planning and investor communications
    • Lead Investor Relations function helping with preparation of board of director materials
    • Manage our relationship and financial structure with our credit partners and other financial institutions
    • Work closely with senior leadership on ongoing basis to evolve overall strategy and evaluate risks and strategic scenarios, providing knowledge of financials drivers, risks, sensitivities, trade-offs and opportunities
    • Drive improvement of accounting operations efficiencies, effectiveness, and scalability, including the development and execution of policy, process, and system changes
    • Set the strategic direction for our accounting and business systems to ensure the proper automation, auditability, and controls on our underlying data and records
    • Manage the the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements and cadence of financial reporting for our leadership team and our Board of Directors
    • Collaborate with the Leadership team in the development and implementation of new and existing policies and internal controls
    • Manage relationships with investors, external advisors, bank partners and other financial vendors
    • Ensuring compliance with federal, state jurisdictions, and related regulations.
    • Train, mentor and develop a high-performing team Who You Are:
      • Someone with extensive knowledge of US GAAP and experience working for a SaaS company
      • An experienced accounting and finance professional with a strong sense of purpose and drive to develop unique, high impact solutions
      • Adaptable and enthusiastic about taking on new challenges, have an innate curiosity, and passion for learning
      • Strong ability to simplify complex financial information and problems in a way that can be communicated, understood and embraced for strategic decision making
      • Proven track record of collaboration and building of positive relationships with other teams across an organization to effectively make recommendations, implement processes & policies, and minimize risk What You'll Need:
        • 10 years of relevant experience including Big 4 public accounting and/or experience at a high-growth SaaS startup
        • CPA and Bachelor's degree in accounting required, Masters of Accounting preferred
        • 6+ years of FP&A experience with exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills
        • Experience administering and working with NetSuite
        • Excellent research, analytical, and organization skills
        • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting standards and recent pronouncements
        • Expertise in revenue recognition (ASC 606), collaborative arrangements and current on emerging financial reporting topics
        • Experience in developing internal controls and driving implementation of policies and procedures
        • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals and audiences
        • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process in a setting requiring consolidations, multiple subsidiaries, including international
        • A combination of experience in public accounting and industry experience in a private and publicly traded companies Characteristics of Success at Spatial:
