The Fleet Management team leads autonomous vehicle fleet introduction, maintenance program and planning, regulatory operations, and configuration control of AVs across Cruise's many internal customers. As the Cruise platform matures, we are transitioning from a purely R&D focus to a mix of research and commercial ride hail and delivery. With the transition to public rides we are increasing emphasis on compliance control. This role will configure, maintain, audit, and correct AV fleet configurations as well as identify and propose feature improvements in control and enforcement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partnering with Release and Product Engineering, AV Ops, & Tech Ops teams to improve processes, tackle issues, and design poka-yoke inspired solutions
  • Looking into the future to identify and prioritize fleet scaling bottlenecks or breakpoints to fix before arrival
  • Contribute to a cohesive plan that balances and prioritizes Cruise's Compliance and Control objectives
  • Help identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Write and release SOPs and work instruction documents
  • Collaborate on designing and testing tooling to enable fleet growth supporting proper AV configuration management
  • Candidates must have the ability to develop work with minimal direction, maintain and report against a work plan, provide updates and status reports, given scope and objectives What you must have:
    • Safety first approach
    • Bachelor's Degree, Engineering preferred
    • Proficiency in both Agile and waterfall project management techniques
    • Proficiency in Google sheets/Excel, Powerpoint and Looker/analytics platform
    • Strong work ethic and excitement to collaborate across many cross functional teams
    • Organized, problem solver that can navigate different projects, tools, and partners and communicate status, progress, issues, and changes to diverse audiences.
    • Experience with running change management processes in a complex technical environment Bonus points!
      • Fleet management or other relevant mobility/transportation experience
      • SQL proficiency or ability to learn SQL quickly and independently
      • Ability to read basic code (C++, python) The salary range for this position is $ 108,800 - 160,000 . Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
