Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:Lead in the monthly close of the general ledger. Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. May guide or review the work of support staff.Oversees the monthly calendar to ensure close is on track for timely close.Makes recommendations related to improving timeliness and accuracy of the closePrepares standard but complicated journal entries.Prepares standard reconciliations.Prepares cycle reports and internal financial statements.Submits NAIC and State of Delaware quarterly statements.Works with management to aggregate budget information; uploads final budget into ledger.Coordinates quarterly PBC items for tax consultants.Coordinates semiannual PBC items for Actuarial review.Prepares quarterly budget to actual report.Performs Ad-Hoc analysis as required.Assists the Accounting clerk with accounting email queries as needed.Provide guidance and assistance with Accounts Payable function in Provides guidance and assistance with monthly commission statement process.Responsible for various accounting projects and tasks as needed.
