Job Description:
The ideal candidate for the Staff Accountant position will be
responsible for accounting for leases of the company including
review of monthly payments, calculation of amortization schedules,
posting GAAP journal entries, tying out balance sheet and income
statement accounts, and calculating percentage rent. The Accountant
will also assist with various general ledger duties.

- Subject matter expert in relation to leases of the company and
the accounting for the leases.
- Evaluate and manage the process for accounting of new leases
and lease amendments.
- Calculates the amortization schedules for leases utilizing
Lease Query software.
- Monthly posting of GAAP journal entries related to leases.
- Monthly calculation of percentage rent and reporting to
landlords.
- Monthly review and analysis of landlord invoice prior to
payment to landlords.
- Periodic and annual review and analysis of CAM and Real Estate
Tax reconciliations, related to leases.
- Annual reporting related to occupancy costs and other ad hoc
reports as requested.
- Weekly review of invoices to corresponding accounts payable
checks.
- Monthly performs bank reconciliations.
- Monthly entering and posting of general ledger journal
entries.
- Monthly preparing of work papers and accruals for general
ledger.
- Monthly and annually prepares landlord sales letter for
signature.
- Monthly processing of invoices for subtenant rent.
- Sets high standards for self while maintaining company
standards, policies, and procedures to ensure delivery of the
ultimate moviegoing experience at all times.
- Maintains a professional working environment while setting a
positive and professional example.
- Requires typing on a computer, reaching, stretching, twisting,
bending, sitting, standing, walking, carrying light items,
interacting with others, speaking on the telephone, problem
solving, and cognitive skills.
- Reviews and updates accounting policies and procedures manual
as needed. What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting and 2+ years
experience in an accounting environment. Property management
accounting a plus.
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet research. Netsuite
and LeaseQuery experience preferred but not required.
- SQL experience a plus
- Proficiency with 10-key by touch.
- Supervisory/training/mentoring experience.
- Able to read/write in English.
- Maintains a professional attitude and demeanor. Demonstrates

professionally in all circumstances.
