We are seeking a Property Accountant with 2+ years working for either a Commercial or multi-family Property Management firm and holding an Associate's degree or higher in accounting or a related field.

This position requires a good understanding of property accounting & month-end duties (journal entries, bank reconciliations, AR review). Proficiency in Sage 50 software is highly sought after but not required. Lastly, having exposure to multifamily properties is a big plus.

Responsibilities

General Ledger Management

Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
Perform detailed account reconciliations and variance analysis.
Maintain and analyze trial balance to ensure financial accuracy.



Financial Reporting & Analysis

Generate comprehensive financial statements and periodic reports.
Prepare and deliver detailed financial statements for management reviews.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Oversight

Supervise the processing and accuracy of accounts payable transactions.
Competencies:
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Sage 50 or other accounting software; strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
