Job Description:
As a Regional Financial Analyst at CalPortland, a respected
leader in sustainable construction solutions, you will play a
crucial role in shaping the financial strategies that help us
continue our legacy of innovation and excellence in the
construction materials market. This position offers a unique
opportunity to not only engage with financial data but also
contribute directly to the financial health and strategic direction
of operations spanning across the western United States and Canada.
You will be responsible for performing detailed financial analysis
and providing the insights necessary to support our mission of
sustainability and efficiency in the construction industry. Analyze
financial data and create reports for regional management to help
drive business decisions Monitor financial performance indicators
and trends across the region to identify areas for improvement and
recommend solutions Work closely with regional managers to develop
and control annual budgets that adhere to corporate strategies
Conduct variance analysis between actual financial results and
budget/forecast to support regional reviews Assist in the
preparation and review of financial forecasts and strategic plans
Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and
regulatory requirements Participate in the development and
refinement of financial models and methodologies Collaborate with
other departments to streamline processes and improve financial
reporting accuracy Strong proficiency in financial modeling and
analysis tools such as Excel, SAP, or Oracle Excellent analytical,
problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Effective
communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex
financial information in an understandable manner Ability to manage
multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and
attention to detail Knowledge of the construction industry’s
financial environment is preferred Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k CPA or CMA
certification is highly valued but not mandatory Additional
certificates in Financial Modeling or Business Analysis are
beneficial
