Job Description:
The Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst is the lead in providing
financial business development, analytical services, and
recommendations that influence sound business decisions, enable
delivery of business objectives and guide long term revenue cycle
strategies. The Sr. Analyst would be responsible for implementing,
designing, and providing support for complex financial models and
analytics within multiple revenue cycle functional areas. Develops
dashboards and reports on key performance indicators, metrics, data
points, and formulas to support management objectives. Assists
revenue cycle leaders in working closely with senior leadership,
physicians, and other faculty to investigate and design strategic
initiatives in order to improve revenue cycle metrics, reporting
capabilities, and overall financial performance. The Sr. Analyst
will develop key financial and statistical analysis in support of
SVP of Revenue Cycle Management’s negotiations with vendors.
Determines how processes can be aligned with best practices to
achieve optimal results, measurable change, and a quantifiable,
positive contribution. *This is a remote opportunity Essential
Functions: • Serve as a subject matter expert in reporting,
collaborating with functional leaders to design and implement
robust business requirement-driven reports and provide advanced
user training. • Spearhead initiatives to optimize performance
information flow and accessibility across the organization,
proactively addressing and resolving data transmission challenges.
• Lead comprehensive analyses of financial and revenue cycle
performance, identifying crucial trends, patterns, and root causes
that impact organizational goals. • Critically assess and optimize
business and procedural workflows, proactively identifying areas
for improvement and proposing innovative, data-supported
alternatives. • Perform rigorous quantitative and qualitative
analysesto assess performance, strategically prioritize improvement
opportunities, and quantify potential returns. • Initiate and
execute data-driven strategies to combat revenue leakage, ensuring
performance indicators translate into tangible net revenue gains. •
Leverage comprehensive expertise in industry software, operational
workflows, and regulatory frameworks to guide and implement
successful process changes. • Conduct in-depth financial research,
applying robust techniques to collect, interpret, and analyze
detailed data. • Translate complex statistical findings into
actionable insights, championing initiatives to bolster data
integrity and drive significant improvements in overall revenue
cycle performance and efficiency. Special Knowledge, Skills,
Abilities: • Develop and execute complex data extractions and
database queries to support business needs. • Proven track record
of managing, organizing, prioritizing, and monitoring multiple
projects concurrently. • Proactively identify and diagnose complex
revenue cycle and financial data anomalies and opportunities. •
Transform raw data into meaningful insights by recognizing and
interpreting key trends. • Exceptional analytical and interpersonal
skills for effective problem-solving and collaboration. •
Demonstrated ability to convey complex information with clarity and
conciseness, both verbally and in writing. • Adept at leveraging
Google Suite for effective communication, data analysis, content
creation, and file management. • Highly skilled in leveraging
advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities to solve complex business
problems, streamline data processes, and generate actionable
insights through sophisticated analysis and reporting. •
Exceptional proficiency in SQL, including advanced query writing,
data mining, complex analysis, and data manipulation, with robust
experience in data reporting and visualization using Qlik, Looker,
and Google BigQuery. • Leverage expertise in reimbursement/payment
policies, medical terminology, medical record coding, and claim
billing, strongly preferred. • Conduct in-depth financial research,
applying robust techniques to collect, interpret, and analyze
detailed data. • Produce comprehensive financial reports and
deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences. •
Consistently demonstrate integrity and ethical conduct in all
professional interactions and communications. • Facilitates the
successful integration of new Senior Analysts by providing hands-on
training, setup assistance, and ongoing mentorship. Job
Requirements Education and Experience: • Bachelors degree in
Business, Finance, Computer Science or a related fields Required. •
Five years experience performing complex financial research and
analysis. • 3 years experience in Health Care organization
Preferred. • Prior experience is revenue management, patient
financial services, and/or health information systems. • MBA or CMA
