Job Description:
MV Transportation, Inc. seeks a seasoned Transit General Manager
to oversee and enhance operations across our various transportation
services including paratransit, fixed route, shuttle, and school
bus services. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational
excellence, enhancing rider satisfaction, and promoting operational
efficiencies within our transport programs across the U.S. and
Canada. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic vision to drive
organizational success in alignment with MV Transportation's
commitment to reliability and efficiency. Develop strategic
operations planning and execution for transit services. Manage
daily operations and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and
local regulations. Perform financial oversight, including
budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control. Coordinate with
other managers to optimize transport routes and schedules. Lead,
mentor, and enhance the professional development of staff across
various departments. Ensure the highest levels of safety,
reliability, and service quality for all passengers. Develop and
maintain strong relationships with government agencies,
contractors, and community leaders. Implement innovative and
sustainable transportation solutions to meet the needs of the
communities served. Oversee capital projects and equipment
acquisition. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage
budgets and control costs. In-depth knowledge of transportation and
logistics management. Ability to analyze data and use it for
strategic planning. Skill in negotiating and conflict resolution.
Competency in relevant software, including transportation
management systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Certification from the American Public
Transportation Association (APTA) is preferred. PMP certification
or equivalent is beneficial.
