Platforms & Operations Content Platforms & Operations is
responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the
technical and operational functions driving the worldwide
distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and
theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and
storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media
localization, network transmission and origination, and more. The
global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration
point for Product & Technology with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM
regional business teams. Job Summary: The Traffic Lead is
responsible for all aspects in the log creation process, from
program scheduling, promo and commercial placement validation to
Finalization and delivery of playlist for distribution. This role
also has responsibilities assisting in setting daily priorities and
coaching staff to meet deadlines and help teach new processes. Is
the go-to person in the absence of a Manager as well as interaction
with other business partners to ensure delivery of an accurate
broadcast playlist. Responsibilities may change daily to fit the
needs of the department. Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
Oversite of program format creation & scheduling, program & episode
scheduling, and ensures commercial contracts are accurate prior to
log finalization. Validate Paid Programming, sponsorship and
Marketing spot placement, process missing commercial reports and
manage special spot placement requests. Review S&P commercial
pending/rejections, Commercial instruction rotations, and spot
comments and various log checks for discrepancies. Basic
Qualifications 7 years prior Commercial Traffic experience in
Television/Radio Broadcasting or other related fields. Preferred
Qualifications Exhibits a transparent, positive attitude, in a
cooperative and professional manner Excellent time management:
ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi task in a
fast-paced environment A creative problem-solver with the ability
to listen and discern customized solutions to meet market and
station needs. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to
learn new systems quickly Excellent written and oral communication
skills Experience with: Must be organized, detail oriented and
self-motivated. Must have strong interpersonal skills and capable
of working effectively within a team environment and across
multiple business platforms. Must be capable of learning new system
procedures/functions as they pertain to the needs of our business.
Must be capable of explaining oneself both verbally and in writing.
Ability to make decisions quickly and effectively under pressure.
Must have a positive attitude and willing to adapt in an industry
environment where change is inevitable. Required Education
Bachelors degree in Media Communications, Television/Radio
Broadcasting or equivalent experience The hiring range for this
position in Glendale, California is $79,100 to $96,500 per year
based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per
week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually
offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary
depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus
and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the
compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical,
financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and
