Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring company-sponsored health, welfare,
retirement plans, and analytics are developed, implemented, and
sustained to support business objectives employee engagement and
performance. This position ensures the performance of all duties in
accordance with the companys policies and procedures, all U.S.
state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company
operates.
Responsibilities:
Manages direct reports and daily operations of a comprehensive
health and welfare program for a fast-paced, rapidly changing
organization.
Administers plans in compliance with local and federal regulations,
including annual audits and Form 5500 filing, non-discrimination
testing, plan document updates and distribution, and managing ACA
compliance. Reviews ACA data in benefits system on an ongoing basis
and ensures that 1095-C coding is accurate for all employees.
Serves as the Plan Administrator for 401(k). Assists with roll-over
requests, death claims, excess deferrals, missed contributions and
other administrative and corrective actions. Provides data to TPA
for annual 401k non-discrimination testing, and for annual plan
audit. Oversees other ongoing audits to ensure that employee
deferrals and 401k loans are correctly deducted, hours are updated
correctly with the carrier, and small balance force-outs are
completed on a quarterly basis.
Develops benefits education and engagement campaigns highlighting
key vendors and programs. Tracks enrollment and engagement in
wellness plans and work with leaders across the business to build
employee awareness of programs. Works closely with internal
communications teams to develop employee communications
materials
Project manager of all new benefit implementations, coordinating
with broker, vendors and benefits enrollment system to ensure
timelines are met, plan documents are reviewed, employee
communication materials are developed and disseminated, and any
testing of files or employee interface is completed to provide an
outstanding customer experience for employees.
Acts as subject matter expert for issues relating to benefits
technology. Develops thorough knowledge of all benefit and HR
systems to troubleshoot file errors, run reports and ensure a
smooth experience for employees.
Maintains knowledge of benefit trends and looks for opportunities
to enhance current benefit offerings. Provides reporting and
analysis of claims, employee demographics and competitor programs
to build the business case for new programs and initiatives
Manages Workers Compensation process from initial claim filing
until claim is closed. Provides all necessary documentation to
employee and to WC carrier, works with managers and HR Business
Partners to determine light duty assignments, and keeps track of
employee medical appointments to ensure that they are continuing
necessary treatment
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of two (2) + years of management experience preferred.
Minimum of five (5) + years experience working in a Benefits
Analyst or similar role.
Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and
responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations
and laws as they pertain to this position.
Thorough knowledge of domestic compliance requirements in such
related areas as ACA, HIPPA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA and Section
125 benefit related State and Federal laws.
Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on responsiveness,
accuracy, and customer advocacy.
Strong analytical and system skills.
Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer
operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited
to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups,
formulas).
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication
skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with
associates.
Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term
and long-term basis.
Ability to make informal and formal presentations, inside and
outside the organization; speaking before assigned team or other
groups as needed.
Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing
duties.
Experience with Workday preferred.
Experience in the Mortgage industry preferred.
CEBS, CBP CCP, PHR or SPHR or related certification preferred.
