Stealth Partner Group an Amwins Group Company is looking for an ambitious Director of Ancillary who is passionate about playing a critical role in the maintenance and growth of our organization. The Director of Ancillary is responsible to work in partnership with internal sales team to maintain and grow the Ancillary block of business. This individual will work independently and should be a self-starter with strong time management skills and will liaise with cross-functional internal teams. This position is located in -Scottsdale, AZ -and will be an -in-office position with the ability to work from home up to 2 days a week. - Snapshot of what Amwins provides to our team members: -

  • Design, implement and lead overall creation and execution of ancillary operations
  • Lead the continuous mapping and analysis of process workflows
  • Lead the development and regular review of department policies and procedures
  • Understand and lead block management strategy to maintain plan sustainability and optimize benefits plans in collaboration with sales executive team
  • Review, compare and contrast technology-based process solutions, as needed
  • Ensure department effectiveness and efficiency to allow for long term scalability
  • Communicate with all internal team(s), brokers, and carriers to lead marketing and renewal strategies for ancillary lines of business
  • Maintain and develop ongoing and new relationships with key brokers and carriers, supporting multiple sales executives across all ancillary lines of business
  • Develop positive and collaborative relationships with internal departments and staff
  • Maintain and leverage carrier product knowledge to teach and develop team
  • Ensure team provides high level of service with accurate marketing data and RFP output
  • Lead department to produce high quality product and value by ensuring detailed filing and documentation of client, broker, and carrier correspondence
  • Departmental approvals on placements/promotions, annual performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions or job dismissals
  • Serve as subject matter expert and represent the Ancillary Department in internal and external meetings, trainings, and discussions when appropriate
  • Lead and maintain industry leading implementation process and procedures to ensure a consultative project management for smooth transitions and renewal executions with carrier, consultant, and client partners
  • Other projects and duties as needed Qualifications -include:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred but not required
    • Expert ancillary product knowledge required (including but not limited to Life/AD&D, LTD, STD, FMLA, Leave and Absence, Dental, Vision, etc.)
    • Proven ability to successfully lead and develop cross functional teams highly preferred
    • Strong operational mindset will be imperative to success
    • Strong ability to analyze facts and use critical thinking skills
    • Strong ability to work independently and on strict timelines
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
    • Must already have or be willing to obtain Arizona Life & Health Insurance License
    • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
