Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 10
years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of
8 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security
clearance is preferred at time of hire. DoD Top Secret or TS/SCI is
a major plus. The individual selected will be subject to a U.S.
Government security investigation and must meet eligibility
requirements for access to classified information. Due to the
nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is
required. Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a
passionate, experienced Strategy and Business Development Senior
Manager (SBDM) for the Surface Systems Business Area of the
Maritime & Strategic Systems (M&SS) Line of Business. The SBDM
will lead the formulation of strategy and business development
activities for Surface System initiatives at General Dynamics
Mission Systems (GDMS), including cultivating key U.S Government
customers and industry partners, developing and leading capture
teams for new programs and business ventures, managing the
allocated annual investment funds, and leading the development of
long-range strategic plans. The SBDM reports to the GDMS Surface
Systems Business Development Director (SBDD) in the Surface Systems
Business Area of the Maritime & Strategic Systems (M&SS) Line
of Business. The SBDM will work with the Warfare Systems Segment
Director and support the growing Surface Systems Mission
Integration and Support and Sustainment segments.Key
Responsibilities:The position is the business development lead
responsible for developing and executing business strategy in
support of growing our market share within the Maritime surface
system markets. The candidate will work with customers and industry
partners and draw upon the broader capabilities of General Dynamics
(GD) to be successful. Knowledge, experience, and customer
relationships in any or all of the following areas is strongly
preferred: Navy Surface programs, Combat Systems programs, PEO
Information Warfare Systems, PEO Unmanned and Small Combatants and
Navy Information Warfare Commands. Proven, relevant and current
industry business capture experience. or Operational and/or
business experience with the US Navy Surface communities is
strongly desired. Demonstrated business acumen and experience with
DoD acquisition is also strongly desired. Requires a technical
background to ensure business decisions can be vetted and optimal
solutions are presented to potential customers. This job requires
both strategic and tactical capabilities and requires substantial
leadership in opportunity capture and business strategy/vision as
well as an ability to work independently.General Dynamics Mission

Target salary range: USD $189,300.00/Yr. - USD $204,900.00/Yr. This
estimate represents the typical salary range for this position
based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
