Description DEPCOM Power is looking for a Solar Manager in the
West Texas Region, to oversee and be a resource manager for Site
Managers, Site Technicians, and Travel Technicians. They will
support with daily operations and be a DEPCOM representative for
communications with customers. This role will be provided a company
vehicle and paid gas for commuting between sites. Located in Pecos
County, Texas relocation assistance is available if needed. This
role is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship.Who We AreThe DEPCOM
Power Operations & Maintenance group is a collaborative, safety
oriented team troubleshooting at our project sites. What You Will
Do
- Lead and develop a team of contribution motivated Site Manager
& Site Technicians while guiding the team in consistent application
of Koch's Principle Based Management philosophy to achieve
results
- Responsible for overseeing two O&M sites totaling 200 MW of
solar
- Ensure site safety for all personnel and equipment
- Perform testing and troubleshooting for electrical and
mechanical systems
- Coordinate with component manufacturers for troubleshooting,
repairs and maintenance
- Monitor inverters, transformers, and tracker systems for faults
and irregularities
- Inverter inspections and cleaning, filter and fuse replacement,
basic troubleshooting and repair
- Transformer inspections and minor repairs
- Upkeep communications onsite including SCADA servers, DAS
components, modems, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Perform daily field sweeps to verify tracker systems are
functioning properly and replace faulty components
- Inspect combiner boxes and replace fuses and components, as
necessary
- Perform scheduled array inspections of the home runs,
connectors, modules, and tracker systemWho You Are (Basic
Qualifications)
- Experience with PV systems or related power generation
equipment
- Knowledge of substation maintenance, inverters, trackers,
combiner boxes, general cabling, substations, SCADA, controls, DC
systems, and wiring & applications
- Working knowledge of commercial power plant operation
- Customer facing experience in providing updates, including
schedule on field issue resolution and maintenance activitiesWhat

- Knowledge of Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) power
distribution equipment
- Four (4) years or more experience with PV systems or related
