Chain Visibility (SCV) team was established to meet increasing
regulatory and stakeholder demands for comprehensive supply chain
due diligence. A newly formed team, SCV is responsible for managing
Disney’s expanding responsibilities to understand and conduct due
diligence on the upstream supply chain. This includes collaborating
with Corporate and Business partners to operationalize new
regulatory requirements, analyzing internal and external supply
chain data to determine regulatory impact and evaluate risk,
developing tools and methodologies to conduct due diligence in
support of regulatory requirements, and partnering with internal
Sourcing teams to gather and evaluate information from Disney’s
vendors. Reporting to the Senior Manager of SCV, the Operations
Manager will serve as a founding member of the team, with the
opportunity to mature and formalize a nascent cross-functional
compliance operation focused on multiple existing and forthcoming
regulations in key markets like North America and Europe. The
Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the
global SCV program, evaluating risk to propose and ensure timely
execution of due diligence and risk mitigation measures such as
supply chain mapping and traceability assessments. We’re looking
for someone who’s passionate about responsible sourcing, eager to
solve problems without clear answers, and adept at addressing
diverse stakeholder needs. The ideal candidate has a proven track
record managing global supply chain due diligence operations to
mitigate risk in a complex environment and has experience designing
and implementing upstream due diligence and/or traceability
initiatives in or for large multinational companies. What You Will
Do This role is responsible for building and managing the daily
operations carried out by a cross-functional team of 5-10
professional staff. This position will have at least 2 direct
reports. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the
following: Operational Program Development Identify opportunities
to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness and partner
with program development and technology colleagues to plan and
deploy improvements Stay abreast of regulatory developments, best
practices in supply chain due diligence, and industry trends to
proactively adapt operations Operational Program Management Ensure
compliance activities, including supplier data collection and risk
evaluation & mitigation, are effectively planned, implemented, and
monitored Consult with internal stakeholders (e.g., policy, legal,
sourcing, and technology teams) to ensure alignment between
operations, regulatory requirements, and corporate compliance
standards Ensure that business units adhere to regulatory and
company compliance standards by managing ongoing education and
support Manage day-to-day issue escalation, resolution, and
communications to a range of internal stakeholders from senior
executives to junior professionals to support successful program
operation Design, track, and report on key performance indicators
(KPIs) to monitor operational performance Identify, contract with,
and manage third party service providers and associated budget to
execute supplier assessments in support of supply chain visibility
and upstream due diligence Support the preparation of materials for
internal and external audits, as well as regulatory disclosures as
required Team Leadership & Management Train and mentor team
members, building operational capacity and a culture of
accountable, proactive problem-solving by setting clear goals,
offering ongoing feedback, and supporting professional development
opportunities Effectively manage team resources and workload,
ensuring operational activities are prioritized and executed within
available capacity, and proactively identifying and addressing gaps
to prevent overextension Required Qualifications & Skills 5 years
of experience in the responsible sourcing, social and environmental
sustainability, supply chain compliance, and/or human rights space
2 years of experience leading teams Exceptional organizational and
project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple
priorities and ensure timely execution High level of integrity,
accountability, and commitment to responsible sourcing and
continuous improvement Exceptional attention to detail, with the
ability to accurately analyze complex data, identify potential
risks, and ensure precision in compliance documentation and
operational processes Adept at synthesizing a range of
perspectives, disjointed information, and competing needs to drive
informed decision-making and balanced risk management Strong
leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring, and
developing a cross-functional team Effective communicator with the
ability to explain complex data and content in a clear and
impactful way to a range of audiences from internal business
partners to senior executives to external suppliers Excellent
analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach
to resolving ambiguity and complex challenges Demonstrated ability
to design, implement, and continuously optimize operational
processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance
within a dynamic environment Solid understanding of relevant
regulations (UFLPA, EUDR, Dodd-Frank, EUFLR, etc.), international
standards, industry norms, and multistakeholder initiatives related
to supply chain due diligence Familiarity with various traceability
methodologies and technologies including, but not limited to,
supply chain mapping, chain of custody document verification, and
fiber forensic testing Willingness to work across different time
zones and within a global team Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in managing global supply chain due
diligence, risk assessment, and traceability initiatives in complex
environments Proven track record designing, integrating, and
scaling upstream due diligence, supply chain mapping, and
traceability operations across large multinational corporations
Experience in and/or knowledge of relevant commodity supply chains,
including cotton, PVC, aluminum, 3TG and/or forest-related
commodities Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Chinese,
Spanish, French) is a plus Education Bachelor’s degree in
international studies, political science, public policy, economics,
business administration, sustainability, supply chains, or related
field; advanced degree preferred Additional Information This
position is an on-site role requiring a minimum of four days per
week in the office, with Glendale, CA as the preferred location;
other U.S. locations with Disney offices may be considered on a
case-by-case basis for exceptionally qualified candidates. The
hiring range for this position in California is $126,800.00 to
$170,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into
account internal equity and also may vary depending on the
candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and
experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive
units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in
addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other
benefits, dependent on the level and position offered. Job Posting
