Occupational Therapist PRN:*Overview*Please join the Northwest Transitions Inpatient Rehab Facility therapy team! Please join our interdisciplinary therapy team and help patients meet their goals of returning to their home and community. The facility is part of Oro Valley Hospital, located on the campus of Northwest Medical Center. Our 30 bed rehabilitation unit is in front of Northwest Medical Center. It is a new stand alone rehab facility that is a unit of Oro Valley hospital. We have an interdisciplinary team approach that is supportive and patient focused.*Duties** Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in occupational therapy.* Required for NMC: One (1) year of acute care experience* Preferred for OVH: One (1) year of acute care experience* Required: Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license;* American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS certification* For Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card'*About the Job** Plans and conducts individualized occupational therapy programs to help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities.* Teaches patients skills/techniques and how to use adaptive equipment for participating in activities.* Studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager.Occupational Therapy Assistant:*Requirements:** Required: Associate's Degree from an accredited program for occupational therapy assistants.* Preferred: One (1) year of related experience.* Required: Current Az certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant; American Heart Association (AHA) or* American Red Cross(ARC) BLS certification.* For Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card.*About the Job:** Administers specified evaluations, conducts group programs, and assists in implementing specific treatment programs under the guidance of a Licensed Occupational Therapist* Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment;* Engaging and effective communication and service skills;* Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.We know its not just about finding a job.
