Overview: The Physical Therapist is responsible for delivering
rehabilitative services to patients based on referrals from
physicians, while adhering to legal requirements and organizational
guidelines. This position necessitates a valid state license,
relevant experience, and proficiency in therapy software, along
with strong communication and collaboration skills. Additionally,
the PT supervises therapy personnel, manages patient records, and
engages in community health projects, all while maintaining high
professional and ethical standards. Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus for
full-time positions. Position Summary The Physical Therapist
provides direct rehabilitation services in physical therapy to
patients referred by physicians, in compliance with all relevant
laws, regulations, and organizational standards. Education,
Experience, and Licensure Requirements Graduation from an
accredited physical therapy program, holding a BSPT, MSPT, or DPT
(those graduating in 2003 or later must possess an MSPT or DPT).
Current registration or licensure in the applicable state, with the
requirement to maintain an active license in good standing
throughout employment. Preferred one (1) year of experience in a
post-acute care or similar environment. CPR certification required
upon hire or to be obtained during orientation, with the necessity
to keep it current throughout employment. Specific Job Requirements
Engage in community health initiatives and projects as appropriate.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
Collaborate with patients, families, and support departments to
effectively address patient needs. Consistently demonstrate proper
body mechanics. Make independent decisions when necessary. Possess
knowledge of practices, procedures, and regulations governing
operations in a post-acute care facility. Implement and interpret
departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
Exhibit proficiency in all competency areas, including patient
rights, safety, and sanitation. Maintain professional relationships
with colleagues, vendors, and others. Ensure confidentiality of all
proprietary and sensitive information. Understand and adhere to
organizational policies, including those related to harassment and
compliance. Demonstrate integrity and professionalism by following
the organization's Code of Conduct and completing mandatory
compliance training. Essential Functions Implement physical therapy
treatment plans for patients. Set, evaluate, and adjust realistic,
measurable, timely, and functional goals. Supervise and assess care
provided by PTAs, Rehab Aides, and PT and PTA students. Document
patient care accurately and promptly. Utilize therapy software
effectively and accurately. Provide excellent customer service and
maintain a positive attitude towards patients. Assist in the safe
evacuation of patients when necessary. Exhibit reliable and
consistent attendance. Employ reasoning skills and sound judgment
in decision-making. Communicate effectively and work
collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Engage in
physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting,
pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving
intermittently throughout the workday. Read, write, speak, and
