Deer Valley (AMC Deer Valley) is seeking a Managing Veterinarian to
provide medical leadership and guide our hospital as we move into
its next chapter. This is a unique opportunity for a confident,

Ultrasound - IDEXX in-house diagnostics (ProCyte, Catalyst, SNAP
Readers, Sedivue) The Role As Managing Veterinarian, you’ll balance
clinical practice with leadership, mentorship, and strategic
oversight. You’ll partner closely with hospital leadership to
ensure consistent medical standards while fostering a positive,
accountable, and collaborative environment. Medical Leadership -
Provide oversight of medical and surgical cases - Establish,
uphold, and evolve medical protocols and standards of care -
Support continuity of care across doctors - Guide diagnostics,
treatment planning, and client communication - Ensure the hospital
remains inspection-ready at all times Mentorship & Leadership
Development - Mentor and support associate veterinarians - Assist
with recruiting, interviewing, and performance development -
Partner with leadership on training, CE tracking, and licensure -
Promote a respectful, team-first culture Practice Operations &
Growth - Support efficient workflows and operational improvements -
Encourage client education, compliance, and patient visits -
Participate in hospital initiatives and community engagement - Help
guide the practice through an upcoming leadership transition
Compensation & Benefits - Base salary: $140,000–$160,000 (depending
on experience) - Production based bonuses - Additional management

Candidate - DVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary school - Active
Arizona license (or ability to obtain) - 5 years of clinical
experience - Previous leadership or management experience preferred
