Shift Type: Rotating nights, 12-hour shifts, 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM;
every other weekend (Friday & Saturday nights); holiday rotation;
36 guaranteed hours per week; night-first float responsibilities to

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care across ICU,
PCU and MST acuities Monitor cardiac rhythms and perform 12-lead
EKGs; rapidly identify and act on dysrhythmias Administer and
titrate drips safely (sedation, vasopressors, insulin) per
protocols Manage ventilator support and assist with BiPAP/CPAP as
part of the interdisciplinary team Collaborate with Remote Monitor
Techs and bedside staff to ensure continuous telemetry oversight
Deliver primary nursing care when needed, including medication
administration and documentation in Cerner Float to support
emergency, pediatric and west campus ICU/PCU to maintain competency
Participate in holiday and standby rotations to support unit
staffing and patient safety Qualifications Current RN license
eligible for practice in Arizona Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
(will consider 1 year ICU 1 year PCU/Med-Surg with strong skills)
Required certifications: ACLS and BLS prior to or at start of
assignment Successful completion of a dysrhythmia exam with a
minimum 80% within two attempts Comfort with titration of sedation,
vasopressors and insulin drips Experience with telemetry, bedside
cardiac monitors and 12-lead EKG acquisition Ability to float to
other units and campuses with two-hour notice; reliable team player
Must meet facility eligibility rules: no full-time/part-time/PRN at
CommonSpirit facilities in the past year and comply with the
50-mile radius rule Education Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or
Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred but not required Knowledge
& Skills Critical care nursing and cardiac monitoring expertise
Dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation Titration and management
of IV drips (sedation, vasopressors, insulin) Ventilator management
fundamentals (vents, BiPAP, CPAP) with RT collaboration Telemetry
and bedside strip interpretation 12-lead EKG acquisition and
interpretation skills Familiarity with Cerner electronic charting
Ability to work in a combined-acuity unit with variable
nurse-to-patient ratios Strong assessment, prioritization and
communication skills Adaptability to float and cover multiple care
