Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Speech language pathologist for
inpatient/outpatient setting at acute care hospital. Working with
patients recovering from oncology related surgery. Medically
compromised patients for both inpatient and outpatient, mainly head
and neck cancers, assessing swallowing capability, oxygen,
breathing, after surgery. Cognitive rehabilitation assessments,
mostly chemo related. Must be able to perform modified barium
swallow study, read results, and read back to patient for
treatment. Must be able to coordinate with other disciplines such
as dieticians for diet upgrades, etc. Average of 6-9 patients per
day, 3x8 shifts with potential for 4th shift if needed,
Tuesday-Thursday. 1 yr experience Required, state license in hand
at time of submission Required, 1st time travelers OK, no new grads
since clinician will be working alone most of the time. 24 hours of
unit orientation, light grey scrubs not provided by unit. Epic
documentation. Certifications Required: State license (in hand at
time of submission), BLS, MBSImP. Certifications Preferred:

Fundamentals), Depression Screening, Hearing screening, Oral
Peripheral Exam, Assessment, Concurrent Therapy: Documentation,
Concurrent Therapy: Treatment, Discharge, Evaluation, Medicaid,
Medicare A, Medicare B, OASIS, Plan of Care, Point of Service
Documentation, Reassessments, SLP Evaluation Coding
Skills/experience Preferred: CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident),
Layngectomy, TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), Augmentative
Communication, Memory Aide, Conducting Fiberoptic Endoscopic
Evaluations of Swallow (FEES), Frazier Free Water Protocol,
