Epic Special Education Staffing is actively seeking a compassionate, dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team. This role involves working in a supportive educational environment, providing critical therapy services to students with special needs. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing occupational therapy plans and collaborate closely with occupational therapists and teachers to enhance educational outcomes. This position requires enthusiasm for child development and a commitment to innovative educational practices. Implement occupational therapy plans designed by the occupational therapist Help students develop necessary skills for participation in educational activities and social integration Monitor student progress and maintain records of therapy sessions Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to maximize student outcomes Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to provide updates and insights related to the occupational therapy program Strong understanding of occupational therapy modalities Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary educational team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Experience with special education and adaptive technologies Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k State-specific certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) CPR and First Aid certification preferred Continued professional development in special education or related fields
