to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Phoenix, Arizona, 85013! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro Acute
Epilepsy Monitoring Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per
Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Level 1 trauma experience.
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills. Ability to detect
small changes in patients. Description: Candidates must have
experience with telemetry and med-surg. The unit consists of 48
total beds, including 10 epilepsy specialty rooms. Nurse to patient
ratios are 1:4 for both day and night shifts. Charge nurse roles
will have no patient assignments. Resource nurses are available
during the day and night shifts. Patient care technicians will be
available for support. Candidates will be expected to work a
minimum of 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week period. Holiday work
will be required based on unit coverage. Scrub color is designated
as grey's anatomy / steel. Experience with Bipap ventilation
systems is necessary, with respiratory therapy available 24/7. The
facility operates a pharmacy that is also available 24/7. Floating
to med-surg/telemetry floors may be required. Nurses will undergo a
floor-specific orientation consisting of 2 shifts. Common diagnoses
include epilepsy, brain tumors, subdural hematomas, scoliosis
surgeries, and traumatic brain injuries. Utilization of
self-releasing velcro seat belts is part of patient care.
Candidates will participate in educational sessions covering lifts,
restraints, and wound care. Strong assessment skills are essential,
with training provided to assess cranial nerves. The facility has a
cancellation policy allowing for up to 4 shift cancellations per
