JOB TITLE: BARTENDER*FLSA STATUS*: Hourly, Nonexempt*DEPARTMENT*: 40 - Food and Beverage*REPORTS TO*: Dining Room Manager; Clubhouse Manager; Catering Manager*SUPERVISES*: N/A*JOB SUMMARY*: Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. May assist in food service as well. Ensures the club buildings and grounds are always neat, clean and presentable.*JOB DUTIES*:

• Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available
• Mixes, prepares and serves drinks according to the recipes approved by the Clubhouse Manager
• Provides immediate attention to all members/guests upon seating
• Distributes menus if host/hostess is unavailable
• Answers member/guest questions, suggests menu items and takes orders
• Inputs orders into point of sale (POS) system
• Delivers meals to tables and removes soiled dishes from tables
• Verifies accuracy of prices, taxes, tips and other charges on checks
• Presents chits to members for signature and ensures chit is closed out to the proper member account
• Maintains and cleans equipment
• Keeps the bar, dining areas, tables and bus stations clean
• Informs supervisor of any complaints when they occur
• Performs clean-up/closing duties
• May Attend pre-meal meetings
• Runs end-of-shift reports and ensures all chits have been closed for shift
• Maintains Club's overall appearance by keeping all areas litter free*EQUIPMENT USED*: Computer; Jonas POS system; Food and Beverage Service Equipment Utensils*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs; ability to stand for long periods of time*WORKING CONDITIONS*: Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, dryness and wetness*EDUCATION*: High school diploma required*CERTIFICATION/LICENSES*: Current Maricopa County food handler's card; Must complete a state certified liquor training program prior to employment*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES*: Superior customer service skills; Ability to multitask*EXPERIENCE*: Bartender/Food service experience required in a high end restaurant setting or another private club*TYPICAL HOURS*: Days, Nights, Weekends and Holidays; Overtime as needed*RELATED JOBS*: Busser; Runner; ServerJob Type: Part-time
