Our drivers are crucial to maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction and timely deliveries. As a CDL A Driver with Heartland Express, you will operate state-of-the-art trucks and be supported by cutting-edge logistics technology. This role requires safe and efficient handling of goods, adherence to all safety regulations, and timely reporting and communication. Join us and drive your career forward while delivering across America. Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck over long distances. Load, handle, and unload items with care and efficiency. Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules. Document and log work/rest periods, fuel, mileage, and retain fuel/toll receipts. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Communicate effectively with dispatch and support teams to ensure smooth operations. Safe driving practices and ability to handle long-haul routes. Proficiency in using GPS devices and other routing software. Strong time management and punctuality. Physical fitness to manage manual loading and unloading. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid CDL A license. Must pass a DOT physical examination and have a clean driving record. Any additional certifications in transport and logistics are a plus.
