    About the Position. The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for providing executive leadership and guidance for the organizations HR initiatives including employee relations, learning and development, recruiting, retention, policies, practices, compensation, benefits and best practices. Collaborates with leadership and executive management providing counsel on a broad range of human resources strategies including equal opportunity and diversity initiatives, recruitment and retention growth and development of teams, culture and HR systems that supports the mission, values and business objectives.
    • Provides overall strategic leadership to the company for HR initiatives: recruitment, compensation, benefits, payroll, safety, professional development, and employee relations.
    • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the organization's human resource function and performance.
    • Partners with leadership teams to ensure the people strategy is in alignment with the overall mission and values strategy.
    • Acts as the trusted advisor, coach and facilitator to meet the needs of talented development across all employee levels to include performance management, employee engagement, inclusion and diversity initiatives, succession planning and talent acquisition.
    • Advises on compensation and employee benefits by analyzing salary and employee benefits, maintain awareness of competitive market practices, proving counsel to senior leadership and driving reward decisions to ensure a balanced environment.
    • Drives Learning and Development by conducting needs assessments and facilitate initiatives that continue to evolve L&D needs by researching best practices and providing recommendations for Learning solutions. Continue to evaluate and evolve the L&D needs and investments.
    • Partners with leadership team on change management to ensure there is success from a people perspective. Assessing readiness levels, suggest potential risk mitigation actions, recommend communication plans, gets feedback and keeps stakeholders informed and engaged to keep initiatives moving forward.
    • Ensures policies, procedures and HR programs are consistently administered, aligned with Company goals and in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and employment laws.
    • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items affect the attraction, motivation, development and retention of the people resources of the Company.
    • Works with the HR Business partners to manage employee relation issues, complaints, investigations, and terminations.
    • Negotiates annual health insurance plans to ensure the company is offering the best value available to its employees.
    • Provides counsel and support to department heads, district managers and theatre managers.
    • Plans and manages department budget.
    • Collaborates with executive leadership to grow and maintain company mission, culture, vision and values.
    • Drives company events to foster collaboration, team interaction and personal growth.
    • Communicates effectively in writing and verbally to all levels of the organization as well as with external contacts with varying professional disciplines.
      What you need. To be successful in this role, the Vice President of Human Resources:
      • Experience with self-insured benefits including worker's compensation and outside audits. Negotiating benefits to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, EAP, etc., as well as administering 401(k).
      • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures and their application in the day-to-day working environment.
      • Extensive experience in employee relations, compensation planning and strategy.
      • Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Ceridian Dayforce experience a plus.
      • Capable of remaining calm, using good judgment and discretion when elevating and communication sensitive information/situations.
      • 7+ years supervisory/training/mentoring experience.
      • Organized, focused, persistent and scrupulous about details.
      • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Bilingual Spanish a plus.
      • Self-starter, fast learner who is able to work independently as well as collaboratively with all levels of the organization with a can-do spirit.
      • Able to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
