Our consistent growth over the last 60 years, the loyalty of our customers and passion of our people makes Discount Tire a great place to work.Under minimal supervision, the Senior Software Engineer is responsible for performing complex analysis, design, programming and testing work related to the implementation, enhancement and support of assigned application per business requirements and specifications. We are looking for an individual that will be central to continually improving and enhancing the Salesforce platform for our organization. You will work alongside our Salesforce implementation partners, BSAs, Salesforce Administrator collaborate on specifications based on stakeholder requirements, validate the proposals, and deliver the solutions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Salesforce.com developer will be responsible for working with the sales operations, business analyst team, and end users to convert business requirements into technical solutions and implement them in the Salesforce.com platform
• The position will include coordination with other developers & Architects to deliver complex implementations
• Translate development requirements and specifications into high quality, efficient solutions in the form of KDD (Key Design Document) & TDD (Technical Design Document)
• Provide accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project
• Develop, code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration, and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity using salesforce.com platform and technology (APEX, OOTB, Automated batch process, Triggers, Flows, Test Methods, JEST)
• Custom User Interface development, including Lightning Web Components & Any open UI/UX framework like ReactJS
• Integrations: Use Salesforce APIs (APEX, REST, SOAP, Bulk) to integrate with other systems used in the organization
• Querying Salesforce.com database using SOQL & SOSL queries
• Designing of custom objects, custom fields, pick list, workflow alerts and actions, validation rules, approval processes, custom tabs, custom reports, report folders, report extractions to various formats, design of LWC pages, record types, and email generation according to business requirements
• Present the KDD/TDD to the Architect Review Boards
• Review the TDD/KDD, code for the team members to provide the feedback in timely fashion.
• Adhere to Salesforce & Discount Tire best practices, maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development
• Provide support, technical explanations and documentation as necessary
• Identify opportunities to re-engineer/integrate existing processes on the salesforce.com.
• Maintain awareness of the relevance and importance of activities and how those contribute to achieving quality objectives
• Complete work in a timely and accurate manner while providing technical deliverable or day to day assignment.
• Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions
• Collaborating with IT / Developers/Architects for other systems in order to integrate across the business
• Manage operational support, performing work during change windows as well as providing on call support as required by the team
• Mentor and coach junior developer resources
• Other duties as assignedQualifications:
  • This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in related application development, including experience in Salesforce implementations
  • Excellent understanding of the Salesforce custom (LWC, Aura, VF, APEX) and OOB capabilities
  • Understand and adhere to the COE guidelines for the code review, code propagation, sandboxes etc.
  • Programming experience related to reporting, dialog transactions, enhancements, Forms/UI development, integrations
  • Experience developing in related assigned application using latest tools and technology
  • Develop backend web-services and RESTful API's
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Technical Concepts and Architecture related to assigned application(s)
  • Strong working knowledge of Data Modelling, transformations, extractors, data sources, integrations
  • Knowledge of replication concepts and working experience is a plus
  • Design, development experience of simplified/flexible/extensible UI in applications
  • Develop and maintain JS-based backend services
  • Experience working on end-to-end projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Time management skills; the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team is vital.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines and present a professional demeanor is essential.
