Product Lead Manager, Financial IT Corporate Systems (Global)

Job Purpose
APL Logistics is on a new and exciting journey (re)building our Corporate Financial systems, started with migration of SAP to Hana Enterprise Cloud. Beginning with a global implementation and continuing with a transition to a steady state, this role offers an opportunity to dabble in the latest technology and the best in business processes.
This position will support the users to maximize APL Logistics' return on investment from Finance Solutions and Services to:
--- Enable business transformation and innovation working with business users to identify opportunities where IT could improve productivity, lower costs, and increase efficiency.
--- Enhance users' experience: projects, processes, and support.
--- Increase IT productivity and efficiency
--- Achieve IT strategy objectives; and
--- Alignment to enterprise architecture
The end of this project would see continual support, enhancements, projects and production support to support our financial systems globally.
Roles & Responsibilities
Functional
People Management

  • Build and manage supporting global users on Finance applications, both the new ones, and Legacy
  • Manage internal and external IT teams involved in deployment of system based on scope, timeline and cost Application Management
    • Responsible for managing and delivering incident fixes, enhancements and projects in finance application areas
    • Hands on management of system configurations, enhancements and bug-fixes on interfaces or any other extensions developed as a part of the implementation
    • Supports integration and migration efforts with local finance applications (as applicable) Process Management
      • Defining internal IT processes to smoothen the IT team's delivery, both for incident management and enhancements/projects
      • Ensuring strict adherence to documented SDLC for work led by internal teams
      • Ensuring business process documentation is maintained and kept current Partner Management
        • Ability to influence and a strong need would be getting work delivered through partners and Cloud Service Providers as well as internal team (as applicable)
        • Manage partners deliverables from scope, timeline and cost Stakeholders Management
          • Managing a global set of regional users for ensuring coordinated delivery of fixes and enhancements
          • Defining and managing an escalation framework to prevent disruptions to work
          • Liaising with and managing IT stakeholders to run application initiatives that need work across Infrastructure, regional IT and other teams Application Development & Project Management
            • To participate in the preparation, requirement definition, solution design and implementation of the new system
            • Hand-hold the user groups in Business Process Finalization; advising where appropriate to simplify requirements
            • Participate in system configurations with a view to fully own them by end of the project
            • Organize and participate in all project workshops
            • Ensure clear and concise documentation by implementation partners
            • Provide clarifications and conduct review sessions with users and implementation partner
            • Own the test cycles under IT and support the test cycles with business users
            • Assist the implementation team in data transformation, migration and reconciliation
            • Review and validate all functional designs for interfaces or any other extensions Key Result Areas
              • Software analysis, design, development, configuration, customization, unit testing and system integration for new projects and enhancement requests.
              • Ensure all systems and projects are delivered on time and meet the business and quality requirements.
              • Work with key stakeholders to understand users' requirements, translating them into technical specifications and test scripts required for system development and deployment.
              • Provide Subject Matter expertise for the supported applications.
              • Ensuring 24 x 7 applications availability and applications performance.
              • Manage AMS team deliverables to ensure they meet the specifications and resolve the support issues on time.
                Qualifications
                Qualification
                Degree or equivalent; preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
                Requirements
                • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experiences in deployment of finance systems with exposure to complex IT landscape, in finance related applications (SAP)
                • Deep process knowledge or industry experience in the above areas
                • Relevant experience in implementing, maintenance and support of Finance application systems (minimum of 2 implementation cycles) with end-users in different countries/regions.
                • Experience in managing a team of 2 to 5 technical professionals (including on-site and off-site vendors) and users for Finance systems
                • Strong technical skills and/or experience with below technologies:
                  • SAP finance applications (including but not limited to):
                    • SAP FI (Finance, GL/AP/AR, Fixed Assets)
                    • SAP MM
                    • SAP BOBJ
                    • SAP TR (Treasury)
                    • SAP BPC (Budgeting, Planning and Consolidation)
                    • SAP Middleware Integration
                    • GCP/Azure Cloud platforms (Cloud Engineer or Architect Knowledge/Experience)
                    • Mainframe systems
                    • Teradata
                    • Open Systems end to end development including UI, Middleware and DB/Backend
                    • Software architecting and solution innovation
                    • Strong command of English language to communicate with various stakeholders Benefits:
