Job Description Job Description Description: Verde Canyon Railroad is seeking a hands-on I/T Manager to own all technology systems on site in Clarkdale, Arizona. This is a solo role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, building, and maintaining systems end-to-end. There is no support staff in this role this individual must be comfortable owning everything from daily technical issues to longer-term systems projects. This role is highly operational and requires someone who can respond quickly, think independently, and stay calm during technical outages or emergencies. Requirements:Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day internal I/T support for all staff, including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and smart devices Support and maintain Audio/Video systems, including troubleshooting hardware, displays, and sound systems (A/V experience is highly desirable) Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, access points, and firewalls (Ubiquiti experience strongly preferred) Own basic cybersecurity practices, including permissions, access control, MFA, and general security hygiene Administer systems and user permissions across platforms (Google Workspace, applications, and internal tools) Lead and execute I/T projects, including new system rollouts, CRM implementation, and technology improvements Support web hosting management and WordPress sites as needed Coordinate with vendors and service providers when necessary, while maintaining ownership of outcomes Document systems, configurations, and procedures to ensure continuity and clarity Required Qualifications Strong hands-on networking experience (non-negotiable) Ability to work fully on-site in Clarkdale, AZ and respond quickly when issues arise Proven ability to work independently without daily supervision or support staff Experience troubleshooting hardware, with a strong interest in Audio/Video systems Comfort owning problems from diagnosis through resolution Preferred Experience Google Workspace administration Ubiquiti networking products Smart devices and integrated systems Audio/Video hardware and setup Web hosting management and WordPress CRM implementation or administration experience Personal Attributes for Success Enjoys tinkering, troubleshooting, and figuring things out Responds quickly and calmly during technical issues or outages Highly trainable and curious about new systems and tools Practical, hands-on, and action-oriented Comfortable being the sole owner of I/T on site Work Schedule & Environment On-site role in Clarkdale, AZ Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Availability required for technical outages or emergencies Benefits Excellent health insurance benefits Opportunity to build and own the entire I/T function in a unique operating environment
