This position is responsible for full-cycle contract process
including: reviewing, negotiating, drafting, and managing a variety
of commercial contracts across a variety of internal business units
and subject areas.
Drafts and reviews a variety of commercial contracts, including
sales, vendor, professional services, and non-disclosure agreements
and any associated amendments and addenda
Negotiates (including lead negotiation) commercial contracts with
sophisticated business entities
Advises internal clients on contractual terms and their associated
legal and business risks and proposes creative, business-oriented
solutions with regard to those risks
Interprets and provides legal advice in connection with proposed
modifications to commercial contracts and or otherwise existing and
standard contract terms
Assists with maintaining and updating contract templates and
prepares new templates as required
Develops and maintains knowledge of the regulations and industry
guidelines impacting the company's products and commercial
Assists with the update of contract policies and procedures
Works with colleagues within the legal and business teams to create
and implement processes and procedures to more efficiently handle
high-volume contract needs
Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting
the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data .
Juris Doctor from accredited law school; admission to Arizona or
other State Bar
Minimum of 3 or more years experience drafting, negotiating and
advising on commercial contracts in a law firm or in
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex technical language
and communicate the terms of contracts
Strong presentation and negotiation skills, solid business instinct
and judgment and excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to define legal issues and legal risks
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to build partnerships
