Desert Mountain Club, one of the most beautiful and largest private country clubs in North America, is looking for a Senior Paralegal!

This is a corporate-level role with deliberate focus on driving compliance with professional contracts. They will be responsible for interpreting the Club's Bylaws, reviewing contracts, and providing necessary guidance for compliance with policies and procedures. The right candidate should possess high ethical standards and sound business ethics.

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and qualifications:

  • 5 years of contract review experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in paralegal regulatory & compliance required.
  • Experience of working with people and partnering across departments is required.
  • High ethical standards, impeccable business reputation and adherence to our Employee Core Values and internal controls.
  • Strong analytical, written/verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in legal studies, or a related field required.

      • Review and interpret the Club's Bylaws and provide input for changes, as necessary.
      • Maintain and update the Bylaws and provide write-ups for updated recommendations for Committee and/or Board of Directors for approval.
      • Analyze Membership inquiries to ensure accordance with Club's Bylaws and policies.
      • Draft communications for new Membership programs and policies for review and vote by the Committees and/or Board of Directors.
      • Maintain and update the Club's Code of Conduct and Rules & Regulations and coordinate potential amendments for relevancy and accuracy for Board presentation.
      • Review contract terms and conditions to identify and manage business risks and opportunities, provide recommendations, as well as confer with legal, as necessary.
      • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
      • Maintain and update a summary of contracts, terms, and conditions spreadsheet Club-wide.
      • Support the bid process subcontractors and vendors.
      • Ongoing monitoring of contract competence for the term of agreements.
      • Compliance with Desert Mountain Club's Code of Conduct and internal controls.
      • Conduct legal research and provide advice on legal matters affecting the company.
      • Keep abreast of legislative changes that could impact the company.
      • Other duties as assigned by CFO. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

        • Required to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 75 pounds - Occasionally
