**Description:**The position provides an opportunity to develop and advance the cutting-edge equipment and systems that support some of our nation's fundamental defense services. Employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.The selected candidate will work with collaborative engineering teams to build and further advance company technologies. These programs provide a modernized suite of Line of Sight (LOS) and Ground to Air radio communication systems. The employee will also enjoy a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded.The Engineering Test Technician position requires an Associates degree and a minimum of 8 years related work experience.Basic qualifications include: Experience working with RF test equipment up to 40 GHz. This includes vector signal network analyzers, communication signal analyzers and a variety of spectrum analyzers as well as high speed oscilloscopes. Experience automating test process though software such as Labview. Ability to develop test procedures, maintain test equipment integrity and generate test reports Conduct tests and aide in the integration of board design, module, and higher levels of product integration Experience working with large signal characterization of high power amplifiers including Pout, IIP2, IIP3, and P1dB compression point as well as load pulls of discrete devices and circuits. Thermal management of the test environment and experience working with cold plates as well as environmental chambers. Applicant will work under the direction of a technical lead and be part of a design team experienced in modeling and characterizing board level circuit designs, packaging, antennas, and RF front-ends Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Strong written and verbal communications skills Ability to recognize and clearly report information relevant to sound electrical engineering design Practice creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures Follow industry and department policies and regulations to ensure General Dynamics Mission Systems services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practicesAdditional preferred qualifications/experience: Experience or interest with Software Defined Radios Experience with legacy analog AM and FM waveforms and related measurements Practice creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures Follow industry and department policies and regulations to ensure General Dynamics Mission Systems services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices**Skills:**Rf, Oscilloscope, GhZ, Spectrum analyzer, Troubleshooting**Top Skills Details:**The candidate should have:Experience with Agile Development MethodologiesProficiency in multiple languages, in particular C, C++, Python, Java, and desirably MATLABProficiency with embedded LinuxExperience with buildroot, gitlab, doxygen, tensorflow, libfuzzer, git, googletest, lttng, gnuradio, cuda, microservice architecture, docker, kubernetes, and/or jenkins a plusUnderstanding of subsystem integration and testUnderstanding of cloud environments, technologies, and applications**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**Basic qualifications include: Experience working with RF test equipment up to 40 GHz.
