Product Marketing Manager - Participant Experience, re-imagine recordkeeping

Institutional Marketing is conducting a search for a Product Marketing Manager. The Product Marketing Manager role sits at the intersection of marketing, technology, and user experience. You will have experience in strategic product positioning. Expectations will include a deep understanding of the technology roadmap, features & capabilities and points of intersection and integration with other transformation tracks. This understanding will be the catalyst for the positioning that the Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and evolving. Key elements will include a clear description of the developing technology, features, and capabilities, along with the key benefits, and points of competitive differentiation.

Success will include full integration with our Participant Strategy team seamlessly working across multiple journeys, and product development teams. These cross-functional teams will drive the future of the Participant Experience through strategic vision, execution, and introduction to the marketplace. The work completed will be utilized across multiple Institutional Marketing groups including GTM, Change Management and the RFP team. Key to strong outcomes will be understanding the needs of our client facing crew and our Plan Sponsor, Consultant and Participant audiences. The ideal candidate will have exceptional conceptual thinking skills, communication & marketing (positioning) skills, relationship management and strong ability to persuade and influence across the various key stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Independently initiates and / or leads product marketing programs, initiatives, promotions, or research projects.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors product marketing plans. Contributes expertise to major marketing deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Ensures product marketing plans are aligned with the overall department strategy. Assists with defining the appropriate success and effectiveness of marketing initiatives and drafts in-depth reviews. Monitors and analyzes product and marketplace trends, client needs, and competitive offerings across applicable markets.
  • Proactively communicates status and issues of marketing activity regularly to stakeholders, including sales professionals, business leaders, team members, and senior managers.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with various parties including sales professionals, business leads, product teams, and key decision makers. Proactively fosters communication between stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifies, manages, and mitigates risks on marketing activities.
  • Educates the marketing team on the features, benefits, and associated messaging for all products and ensures these are consistently applied across all channels.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum five years related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or equivalent experience required.
