Caremark, LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following
role in Scottsdale, AZ: Advisor, Analytics to lead, analyze,
design, code, test, debug, and implement complex business
intelligence solutions using microstrategy latest features. Build
upon best practices and processes to improve end-user access and
response time. design test plans and assist on production updates,
including microstrategy upgrades, project rollouts, architecture
modifications, and new reports. Lead projects, provide development
estimates, capacity planning, and progress towards deliverables to
management. Communicate requirements and delegate to other team
members. Mentor junior developers and coordinate development across
multiple platforms. Responsible for any changes needed within the
architecture, including facts, attributes (also usage of
pass-through functions) and hierarchies. Design and develop
reports, documents, dashboards, dossiers, mobile dashboards,
freeform sql reports, and transaction services documents. analyze
performance and tune new and existing reports/dashboards, perform
sqls optimization, tune vldb settings on project and object levels.
Validate sql and data in microstrategy reports and database.
Troubleshoot microstrategy problems (platform, server, report,
ect.), and database issues. Monitor and lead code walkthroughs to
ensure that new changes do not invalidate existing metadata
relationships. provide support for object manager, command manager,
integrity manager and distribution services. Gather requirements
for new report development, resolve ambiguities and conflicts, and
ensure requirements are delivered. Is responsible for incorporating
new data structures and elements into the project ensuring all
parent/child relationships are accurate to prevent invalid queries.
Design and create microstrategy configuration objects and
permissions settings to support complex security requirements.
Ensure that all changes get replicated to multiple projects on
various database platforms utilizing defined best practices, tools,
and change management processes. Design data warehouse model and/or
assist with data warehouse team to design the appropriate model for
reporting. crate database structures (views and tables) based on
the data model. Maintain and update skills in data warehousing,
programming, and application development through monitoring of the
microstrategy knowledge base, user groups, technical white papers
and the healthcare and pharmaceutical business environment.
2 years of experience in microstrategy development is required.
Must also have 2 years of relational database development
experience in one or more of the following: Teradata, Oracle, DB2
and/or SQL server. Caremark will accept a Bachelor's degree and 5
years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree and two years of
experience. 5% or less domestic travel is required.
