Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Systems Avionics Engineer to work in a fast paced and demanding environment. We are looking for a candidate that has strong project management skills and cutting edge technical know-how. Essential Functions:

• Developing new systems designs, writing systems specifications, performing system level tests
• Assisting with flight tests
• Interfacing with customers, suppliers and internal functional groups (sales, marketing, customer support, etc.)
• Help maintain and develop engineering processes
• Assistance in the design, test and maintenance of all products Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Preferably in the avionics industry
  • Experience must include writing systems requirements and systems validation procedures
  • Knowledge of ARP-4754A and DO-178 processes
  • Experience with surveillance products (TCAS/TAWS/Transponders/Windshear) Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Good interpersonal skills and is able to work with multiple teams and be able to work directly with ACSS customers
    • Demonstrates ability to take initiative to eliminate barriers and uses resources to ensure desired results
    • Ability to lead teams through conflict, clarify objectives and develop consensus and buy-in as required
    • Ability to see the big picture and advocates integration of systems within work group
    • Uses business knowledge to assist others in understanding business decision and their impact
    • Fosters an environment that promotes creativity and innovation
    • Self-motivated with good communications skills
    • Able to work without appreciable management oversight and direction
