Job Description:
Incumbent will serve as a front-line interface to users with
technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to
keep systems current with changing technologies. Your duties may
include installing new software, troubleshooting, granting
permissions to applications and training users.
You'll also be responsible for the day-to-day support of server
services by performing server administration for physical and
virtual server operating systems and configuring, maintaining and
troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network
related interfaces on servers. Applicant will also perform OS and
vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and
virtual servers' performance using monitoring tools.
Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance within
a reasonable time of hire.

Candidates should have demonstrated experience with the
following:
- Strong background with deploying and maintaining RedHat
Linux/CentOS Client/Server environments.

environments.
Candidates should have knowledge of several of the following
technologies:
- Familiarity with compliance controls:
- STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides)
- RMF (Risk Management Framework)
- DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation
Supplement)
- NIST SP 800-171
- Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)
- Familiarity with developer tools:
- JIRA
- Jenkins
- Git Runner
- Software Development Kits (SDK)s
- Scripting languages such as Bash, Python and Ruby.
- Configuration Management tools (Git/GitLab).
- Kickstart to automate installation of operating
system.
- Monitoring and alerting packages such as Nagios and
Ganglia.
- TCP/IP, Internet Routing Protocols, private and public
networks, VLANs, Firewalls, Load Balancers, addressing schemes,
subnet creation and subnet masking.
- Experience with patching of Windows platforms Client 10 and
Server 2012/2016 or newer
- Experience with patching of RedHat Linux/CentOS
- Experience installing, configuring, and writing ansible
playbooks for automation supporting infrastructure production and
development environments.
- Experience managing virtual machine with VMware vSphere and
related technologies.
Daily Tasks:
- Responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of a
group of computers running on one or more operating
systems.
- Maintains the integrity and security of servers and
systems.
- Serves as a front-line interface to users with technical
issues.
- Makes recommendations for hardware and software
purchases.
- Interacts with third-party technology vendors and internal
database staff.
- Conducts systems analysis and development to keep systems
current with changing technologies.
- Duties may include installing new software, troubleshooting,
granting permissions to applications and training users.
- The Server System Administrator is responsible for the
day-to-day support of Server and Client services.
- Performs Server administration for Server Operating
Systems.
- Performs administration of physical and virtualized
servers.
- Responsible for the configuration, maintenance and
troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware.
- Configures, maintains, and troubleshoots network related
interfaces on servers.
- Performs OS and vendor software patching on servers.
- Monitors Physical and Virtual Servers performance using
monitoring tools.
- Performs, maintains, troubleshoots, and does analysis of alerts
on Servers.
- Performs administration of physical and virtualized servers
using industry standard technologies
- Performs administration of servers in lab environments that are
physical and virtualized using industry standard technologies.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or
equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of
relevant experience OR Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant
experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret
security clearance within a reasonable period of time of hire.

investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to
classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within
our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
