Summary The Health Information Management Specialist and Coder Analyst is responsible for assembling and analyzing medical records in accordance with hospital/departmental policies and procedures, performing audits in accordance with established federal rules and regulations, abstracting and coding clinical data using standard classification systems, processing requests for patient health information and coding the medical record to the highest level of severity and following all ICD-10 guidelines. Performs a variety of tasks and assists the Director of Medical Records in other clerical duties. Qualifications Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have prior experience in food service, and have a basic knowledge of food service, handling and sanitation.
  • RHIT, CSS or CPC, CPC-H, or equivalent Certification required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
