Our client is seeking to grow their DevOps team and currently hiring for Senior level roles. You will work proactively with the Engineering and Product teams to implement and operate our global consumer facing infrastructure. To be successful in this role you should be a self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment, thrive on problem solving and be committed to delivering seamless product availability. You will research and develop improvements to availability, performance, and scalability of environments. This will involve the implementation of tools and configurations, identification and reporting of attacks, and adjustments as necessary. You will manage all build and deploy tools and oversee all deployments. You will improve deployment processes to ensure zero downtime and simple rollback protocols for all releases. If you are interested in learning more, please reach out to a member of the Vaco team immediately.You will:Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for multiple software components. Work collaboratively with developers to define infrastructure and deployment requirements and processes. Develop internal and customer-facing software and tools as needed. Research new cloud-based services and building PoCs. Document processes and procedures related to infrastructure and deployments. Ensure proper knowledge transfer amongst the software team to promote appropriate and innovative use of cloud services. Perform infrastructure usage analysis and cost optimization internally and for customers. Exhibit an honest and committed effort to delivering as promised, never compromising quality. Achieve individual and team goals. Meet deadlines with the resources provided and never compromise ethical standards. Seek opportunities for personal and professional development. Attend all company required training and actively participate in development conversations with managers. Special Skills: Git, GitHub and building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.Integrating CI/CD pipelines with static code analysis tools such as SonarQube.Troubleshooting, monitoring, and alerting using APM tools such as New Relic, Splunk, Elasticsearch.Setting up and configuring log aggregators.Excellent understanding of application architecture.Scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript and working knowledge of OOP principals.Building and consuming REST/SOAP APIs.Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments.Experience/familiarity in agile software development and DevOps methodologies.Performance tuning, capacity management, process orchestration.Demonstrated work with one or more Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google).Strong experience building, deploying, and monitoring container-based applications.Strong experience with a Kubernetes orchestration platform such as AKS, GKE, or EKS.Solid understanding of both network and systems security.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).Growth mindset and a passion for learning.Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Application, Database, Data Science, Infrastructure).Experience working with high availability, high performance, multi-data center systems, and hybrid cloud environments.Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as New Relic, Splunk and/or application performance monitoring (APM) tools such as AWS CloudWatch, New Relic or AppDynamics.Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces.Comfortable with Agile methodologies and working closely within small teams.Familiar with infrastructure-as-code, terraform preferred and AWS CloudFormation.Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments.Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.Experience in deploying to and managing cloud infrastructure and services in AWS, Azure, etc.
