About the Optometrist Assistant / Front Desk Position We are looking for a personable, friendly, and energetic person to join our team. You will be the first impression for our patients and customers, and will be responsible for greeting each and every individual kindly and courteously. About the Practice We are a brand new practice ready to serve our community! We are focused on thorough examinations and excellent patient education, and making sure our customers have experiences that exceed their expectations. We treat patients of all ages ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics and everything in between. Our doctor is dedicated, and we thrive off of the positive experience that each patient has: From the interaction at the front desk when they first walk in the door, to the time they spend in the exam chair, and then seeing the optical staff for all of their optical needs. Optometrist Assistant / Front Desk Roles and Responsibilities: Scheduling appointments Verifying insurance plans Preparing patient charts Greeting patients and customers in office Stocking and Inventory Maintaining a clean, organized work environment and inviting office environment for customers Answering phone calls with enthusiasm and knowledge Pretesting patients Assisting the optometrist and optician with various tasks The ability to become familiar with and learn optical sales.
