Job Description:

Summary: Responsible for leasing vacant space and maximizing performance of assigned portfolio of shopping centers, likely over multiple states and requiring regular company-reimbursed overnight travel. This position is based in the Scottsdale, Arizona, office.Responsibilities:
Canvass current and potential tenants to discuss leasing opportunities Develop and maintain relationships with national and local tenants and brokers, including participation in relevant ICSC events Conduct competitive market and tenant merchandise mix analyses, regularly updating as market conditions change Qualify prospects and conduct on-site visits with current and potential tenants, including the evaluation of all application materials to ensure creditworthiness of prospective tenants Collaborate with Marketing to effectively advertise vacant spaces Coordinate with Legal and Director of Capital Asset Management to negotiate letters of intent, new leases, and lease amendments in assigned portfolio Coordinate with Accounting, Lease Administration, and Property Management to ensure necessary leasing information is promptly and thoroughly shared

• Prepare annual leasing budgets for assigned portfolio and regularly meet with Director of Capital Asset Management - and Owners to discuss deal status/pro-forma expectations
• Perform other related duties as assignedRequired skills and experience:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in business/related field and two years retail leasing experience, including thorough negotiation of letters of intent and leases/purchase agreements for a variety of retail transactionsEstablished retail real estate landlord/national tenant contacts
  • Creative and well-organized with strong ability to multi-task and strategize alternative courses of action
  • Strong mathematical skills with experience performing typical real estate finance calculations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong presentation/public speaking skills
  • Self-starting, competitive mindset and the drive to succeed in a competitive industry
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed to work assigned portfolio
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Yardi software valued but not initially required
  • Broker's license preferred but not requiredAttendance: Regular attendance in the Scottsdale office is essential to the Company's efficient operation and is a necessary condition of employment.
    Physical demands: While performing duties of the job, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
