Job Description:
Position SummaryProvides regional coordination, support, and HR
service and support to employees on various topics such as
onboarding, engagement, and employee and manager HRIS self-service,
and resolve any issues that may arise; assists in administering
human resources policies and procedures; collects and maintains HR
data related to compensation, benefits, training, recruitment, etc.
to help make recommendations for improvement; processes paperwork
for functional area according to established procedures; provides
direct administrative support to the Human Resources department and
assists the Human Resources staff in daily operations to include
service and support to all Childhelp employees and applicants.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and presents NEO to new hires
- Initiates Childhelp Check-In Employee Integration process
- Initiates the background checking process and monitors progress
until clearance or other final disposition
- Prepares for and facilitates First Day HR Orientation to
include processing any remaining new hire paperwork, delivering the
HR presentation, and coordinating with the trainer and other
managers regarding other departmental presentations and training as
part of the larger NEO
- Follow-up and approves new hire benefit enrollments
- Manages the buddy program for assigned regions
- Maintains I-9 documentation for assigned client groups and
purges according to legal standards.
- Creates and maintains written procedures for all tasks within
role.
- Maintains personnel Files electronically for assigned client
groups ensuring:
- Proper filing techniques are followed and that files are kept
accurate and orderly
- All required documents are included in terminated file
- HRIS Data Maintenance
- Assists employees with personal information changes via HRIS
employee self service
- Processes data changes in accordance with established process,
policy and audit guidelines (new hire, position changes, location
changes, pay changes, status changes, termination, etc.)
- Creates, maintains and runs reports for leaders as
requested
- Maintains current compliance-driven data such as First Aid/CPR,
TB and Chest X-Ray Results; and Pro-Act Certifications
- Partners with the team responsible for the LMS to ensure
employees are completing training as required in a timely
manner
- Responds to UI claim data providing supporting documentation as
appropriate; and refers UI hearings to the Director
- Nurtures an inspirational culture and positive work environment
through developing high trust relationships across the
organization, and seeks to ensure that each HR transaction is
supporting a mutually beneficial employee/employer
relationship
- Champions change by demonstrating a continuous improvement
mindset and work style and provides support to employees in times
of change
- Partners with leadership to effectively manage cultural and
organizational change; ensures change is linked to the strategic
needs of the organization minimizing employee dissatisfaction and
resistance to change; and models continuous improvement and
change
- Administers, monitors, and analyzes the employer-employee
relationship; manages performance; ensures that relations with
employees comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and
regulations; resolves workplace disputes; fosters a work
environment in which people will choose to be motivated,
contributing, and happy; and ensures the employer-employee
relationship is one of reciprocal value.
- Executes on best in class practices for performance management,
talent review, succession planning, training, and development.
- Pulls excit interview survey to departing employees and
conducts face to face exit interviews as needed
- Terminates employee benefits as required in vendor sites
- Maintain up to date, accurate knowledge and understanding of HR
operations roles and responsibilities, processes and procedures and
audit guidelines and performs work accordingly, and conducts
regular self-audits (quarterly) for all auditable areas of
responsibility, participates in mini-audits and assists with annual
formal internal HR auditQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or SHRM-CP or1 -3 years of related work
experience or of equivalent combination of education and
experience
- 1-year previous HR related experience
- Knowledge and understanding of HR functions and competencies in
the areas of employment law, audits, recruiting, onboarding, HRIS,
leave of absence /FMLA, customer experience
- Knowledge and basic understanding of HR functions and
competencies in the areas of employee relations, ADA, performance
management, talent developmentPreferred:
- Previous experience in healthcare, social services, human
welfare, or other related industries or other related
industries
- Previous experience working in Paycom
- PHR certified or studying to attain
