Your Impact:

As Axon's Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting printed circuit assemblies and supporting manufacturing lines, performing preventive maintenance, quality testing, data gathering, filling out non-conformance reports, supporting engineering team and QA department if needed when quality issues arises.

Your Day to Day:

* Monitor and evaluate production lines for efficiency, quality and procedure
* Work with Engineering, R&D, RMA, Training and Quality Assurance teams
* Quickly diagnose and provide assistance with a variety of production line obstacles
* Repair and troubleshoot test fixtures - Pogo pins, relays, pneumatics, pressure, electrical
* Assist Manufacturing employees to perform their duties to a higher level of quality and understanding
* Trouble shoot and Rework External and Internal product electronic circuits to the micro component level
* Assist in work with the Production Control team, Manufacturing Area Leads, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Manager & VP of Manufacturing, in order to meet daily and monthly goals
* Ensure operators are following documented procedures by reviewing testers, fixtures on a regular basis
* Able to proficiently perform all processes on their value stream
* In conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering, train existing and new operators when processes are modified
* Visually inspects, tests and assembles components or subassemblies using approved assembly procedures
* Completes daily, weekly reports detailing product produced, scrapped and any issues affecting their value stream
* Will be required to use a computer to perform tests, download information or record test data
* Uses hand tools, machine tools and various types of equipment to assemble and test products
* Responsible for requisitioning and consuming raw materials when needed
* Promotes a safe work environment by adhering to all safety requirements
* Understands and complies with all ESD requirements
* Meet or exceed established productivity and quality goals
* Promote a continuous improvement environment by looking for more efficient ways to perform daily duties
* 6'S workstations and surrounding work area's daily
* Must be able to make reasonable decisions and escalate accordingly
* Must communicate effectively and work under pressure with minimum Supervision, Self-Starter in a heavy multi-tasking in a high-volume environment
* Must be able to effectively solve problems or indentify issues and assist in resolutions
* Assist other Technicians and or Value Streams when necessary (absences, lack of work etc.)
* Complete all Soft or Hard paperwork, correctly, legibly and in a timely manner
* Must be computer literate & able to learn new programs (Microsoft Dynamic, QUIP, Arena etc.), & new processes, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

* Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent
* Ability to use DMM, Oscilloscope, Power Supply
* Spectrum analyzer, UV Light devices, automatic dispensers, plastics welder
* Solder experience: IPC J-Standard Certified a plus
* Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and basic pneumatics
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to utilize a 40X microscope; troubleshoot and solder with 10X or greater magnification

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with the following: Bluetooth, Near-field communication, Video - Imager and lens assembly to focus devices, Audio - Speaker and microphone micro-electronics, Microchips - Integrated Circuit Systems, Accelerometers and haptics, Polyurethane and compression form assembly, Lithium-ion batteries and charging circuits, Interconnect flex cables.
* Experience with Conductive Electrical-High Voltage Transformers, High Voltage Capacitors, High Voltage Diodes, Oscillators, Wheatstone bridge, Plastics cosmetic repair, Wifi - 2.4 and 5.8 Ghz
* Basic programming knowledge in any of the following (C++, Labview, Java, Python, SQL, VBA)
* Associates degree in electronics or 5 years equivalent experience.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, push, carry, etc. for 10 hours at a time; ability to lift 20lbs unaided; ability to ascend and descend stairs; ability to grasp and use small parts; ability to occasionally kneel, crouch, bend as required to perform tasks; etc.

Work Environment

Within the Axon manufacturing facility, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, ambient temperatures, close quarters, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, exposure to vibrations and industrial lighting, etc.

Personal Protective Equipment

Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided by Axon and may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes but is not limited to, safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear. Employees are required to apply ergonomic correctness to all job tasks to the fullest extent possible.
