Job DescriptionConstruction Project ManagerThe Construction
Project Manager is a critical role within the Real Estate and
Construction Department of The Joint Chiropractic and will report
into the Director of Construction with day-to-day responsibility in
support of the management and execution of corporate project
initiatives. The Construction Manager is responsible to direct the
development of Corporate and Franchise clinics, direct the
facilities of corporate clinics, build systems and tools for the
Construction Department, and oversee Construction Coordinators.
Roles:
- Manage Corporate and Franchise Clinic Development: New Builds,
Relocations, Acquisitions, Closures, Refreshes
- Space Planning: Create clinic space plans and review
architectural plans
- Build and Monitor Systems, Tools, and Processes: Create
Development Status Reports (Excel), Build Construction and Refresh
Manuals
- Develop and Manage relationships with Franchisees, Consultants,
Vendors, General Contractors, and Suppliers
- Work with operations and vendors to maintain clinics and
equipment at operational excellence standard ensuring the clinics
ability to be open and operational at all times. Responsibilities:
- Directs all phases of construction project management including
due diligence, scheduling, budget development, planning, design,
and FF&E procurement while adhering to approved project budgets
and schedules.
- Expedites development timelines by interacting with and
providing guidance to outside Architects, Engineers, General
Contractors and Governmental Agencies.
- Establish timelines & budgets and to be able to manage against
same. Ensure that multiple projects meet specified timelines and
deliver expected results.
- Frequently prioritize and re-prioritize activities based on
changing needs of the projects and management input.
- Work with design consultants to facilitate development and
construction drawings in an effective and timely manner.
- Communicate project schedule and progress to all
stakeholders.
- Lead Construction Coordinators to execute their tasks and
provide support where needed.
- Work in collaboration and cross-functionally with internal
stakeholders, peers, and other departments within the
organization.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction or Project Management or
related field, or equivalent tenant buildout experience.
- Experience in retail design and tenant improvements
- Experience preparing construction budgets and tracking to
actual costs.
- Familiar with store equipment package, planning, and
operations
- Exceptional human relationship skills; exhibits tact in
handling challenging situations.
- Well organized and able to adhere to deadlines.
- Honesty, high integrity, personal accountability, and a passion
for the success of the brand and the team
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work within the appropriate level of independence.
Self-Starter
- High level of proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills, ability to
practice a high level of confidentiality.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Travel on a regular basis to assigned locations. Overnight
