Animal Clinic Del Rancho is looking for a Lead Veterinary Technician (CVT or equivalent experience) to support and mentor our team! We are looking for a team member with a positive attitude that can lead, motivate and grow our team of Veterinary Technicians and Assistants.The Lead Veterinary Technician performs all duties of a Veterinary Technician as well as the following: Leads and mentors our team while ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. Addresses staffing needs including, hiring, training, reviewing, and resolving conflict. Partners with the Practice Manager, Veterinarians, and staff in organizing the team. Schedules Veterinary Technicians' and Assistants' shifts. Attends and participates in staff and leadership meetings. Also organizes and conducts monthly tech meetings. Utilized multiple computer software programs including Microsoft Office, Word, and excel, and become proficient with our management software. Maintains inventory use and works within a budget for ordering weekly hospital stock. Develops and implements hospital policy including DEA/Controlled Substances, OSHA compliance and AAHA.
