Job Description:

Pay range: $55-$60



Installation of new releases of the Client operating system as well as system maintenance and fixes.


Manage and maintain the storage and Local disks.


safecom and User management.


Maintain and manage SQLMP and SQLMX and the tables.


Manage and Maintain the Pathways,webservers and Soapservers.


Installation, implementation and support of vendor software products.


Systems monitoring and alerting, problem identification, analysis and resolution.


Participation on IT projects as assigned, working closely with IT project managers, application developers and application support teams


Regular communications with technical, applications and operations staff on matters affecting the operation of the Tandem.


RDF and Autosynch Management.


System performance monitoring and Tuning.


Duplicate backup tapes using BACKCOPY utility


Monitor tapes usages


Compress or decompress files (PAK/UNPAK-The PAK utility compresses NonStop files.)


Analyze and generate reports on disk space usage - The Disk Space Analysis Program (DSAP)


Monitor PTLF growth size (FUP INFO, Detail)


Monitor EMS events, Client in station/link down events-monitor Events ( HW & Software )


Monitor hardware status (OSM) -Open System Management (OSM)


Monitor all application process


Apps Related Task


Hands on in Tandem Advanced Command Language (TACL)


Using The File Utility Program (FUP)


The FUP command (INFO *)


Migration and refresh of hardware and upgrade of the OS


Perform complex OS upgrade


Handle escalated/complex issues


Good to know Latest Tandem Hardware like NS-4 and NS-8


Good to have Application knowledge for basic support from Tandem perspective


Performance and Capacity Management


Good to have Automation Knowledge and scripting


Batch Job Management
