Join our team today and experience the Village Way for yourself.Job Summary:Ensure the club is clean, well maintained with fitness equipment in proper working order to meet the safety and satisfaction of our members, guests, employees and legal standards.Summary Of Essential Job Functions:Assist the Fitness Maintenance Director (FMD) and/or the Fitness Maintenance Technician (FMT) with the repair and maintenance of fitness equipment at all of the Village Clubs.Ensure the club is clean, well maintained with equipment in proper working order to meet the safety and satisfaction of our members, guests, employees and legal standardsPerform proactive maintenance and prompt repairs on all fitness equipment.Assist in the moving and layout of equipment as assigned by FMD.Respond promptly to service requests, and keep accurate maintenance log.Travel between clubs on as needed basis for equipment repair.Perform additional duties as assigned May be required to work evenings and weekends as neededRequired to maintain a physical presence within the Village to perform assigned dutiesKnowledge/Skills RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least 6 months practical experience which required mechanical skills, and the use of appropriate tools. Mechanical aptitude.The ability to be self-directed Basic computer skills (Experience with MS outlook and Word.)The ability to do work amidst members and staff, respond to their requests, and get work completed in a timely manner.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to commute to multiple locations and have a valid Arizona Driver's License with a clean driving recordPossess strong work ethic. Must have a positive/can do attitude and be a team player CPR certification within 30 days of hire through Company trainingRequired AbilitiesPhysical ActivityThis position requires daily standing, walking, lifting, grasping, wiping, bending, stooping, pulling, folding and kneeling. Substantial repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Involved in activities where one must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Requires the ability to receive detailed information through written and oral communication.Physical RequirementMust be able to lift at least 25 pounds and occasionally very heavy lifting up to 75 pounds to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight and to operate assigned equipment. Must also be able to climb stairs and climb unusual heights on laddersVisual RequirementThis position requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: analyzing for cleanliness and neatness, assessing and determining needs, transcribing, viewing computer monitors,Working ConditionsWork is primarily performed in both indoor and an outdoor environment, exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, mechanical and electrical hazards, and potentially extreme warm temperature conditions. May be reasonably exposed to hazardous substances in the workplace. Responsible for completing Blood borne Pathogens and Hazardous Material training.
