Job Title: Workspace Support TechnicianLocation: Scottsdale, AZWage Range:$20-21 hrJob Number: 23-01135Job Description: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Workspace Support Technician to work from their Scottsdale, AZ facility. The primary responsibility of this position is to build and prepare computers in order to refresh end user computers.Qualifications: High School diploma is required or equivalent plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Entry-level positionPossess necessary computer skills to proficiently handle routine tasks Performs a variety of duties in support of end-point computing devices, and peripherals.The primary responsibility of this position is to build and prepare computers in order to refresh end user computers.Responds to and diagnoses problems and answers queries regarding computer hardware, software, printers, network as part of the refreshMaintains and updates records and tracking databasesInstalls hardware and peripheral components, such as computers, network/telecom, monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drivesLoads and verifies correct operation of software packages, such as operating system, word processing and spreadsheet programsResponsible for configuring desktop and laptop, and thin client computersMaintains an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and suppliesKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Displays high performance attributesBasic ability to work on assignments that are routine in natureBasic customer focus, communication and collaborative skills consistent with expectations for positionEqual Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled* While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
